At Effingham Eye Care, we strive to be environmentally friendly. Minimizing the amount of waste we produce and energy we use is a priority for us, and some of the things that we do to reach that goal are:
*We use electronic medical records to reduce the amount of paper that we use, and we file all of our insurance claims electronically.
*We recycle the paper that we do use, as well as glass, plastic, and aluminum.
*We use programable thermostats and ceiling fans to reduce the amount of energy we use.
*We used spray foam insulation in the construction process which dramatically reduces the amount of heating and cooling loss.
*We use energy efficient lighting throughout the office.
*Our faxes are sent and received electronically to minimize the amount of paper used.
*We have Low-E coating on all of our windows and front door to reduce the amount of heat transmitted and save energy.
